Mend Washing Spin Sound

my washing machine will not spin out?

All of a sudden my washing machine will not spin out - I seem to hear (as the machine tries) a gravely sound. What do you think

Hi Nancy, you do not say what kind of washer it is, is it emptying the water? is the gravely sound comming from the pump or the drum? If the water is not pumping out try clearing the pump filter if no filter then try clearing the pump. more information would improve the chances of fixing it
