how to fix a Scott Turfmaster riding mower?

After turning the starter key I must kick the brake pedal,jiggel the gear shiftrun the mower and engagement lever up and down and some times the starter will engage.All those safety switches have ganged up on me...

Vibration over time has probably loosened the safety switches in their mountings. Carefully tighten all mounting screws etc.
