indesit idl 705 stopping then first 2 lights on left flashing?

never had a problem with this machine untill last week, when we started using the new finish quantum powerball. now the machine dosent seem to fill properly, it stops, on the filling start cycle, then it beeps and the first 2 lights on the left flash, resetting the machine does nothing, the only way to get the machine to do anything is to manualy drain the water out via putting the drain pipe in a pot on the floor, then the machine will start again, but then stops part way through filling
