How do i get my washer to extract?

Is your machine turning the drum at all? If it is emptying water, but not spinning, it may also not be turning the drum. This means the belt may have broken or the main motor is not working( you have one motor for the pump, another for the drum). The same thing caught me out until I ran the machine and sat watching it and the drum did not rotate even though, everything else worked fine.
If the belt is not broken, then your motor may just need new brushes, these eventually wear out. Also what machine?
