Is it cheaper to LEAVE IMMERSION HEATERS ON 24/7?

Just had a Megaflo direct cylinder(unvented) fitted.Is it cheaper to keep the immersion heaters on 24/7 or as and when required.The cylinder is in a fairly warm press.

No - your cylinder loses heat faster when it's hot than when it's cooler, so the hotter and longer you keep it, the higher the bills.
