My Dyson DC07 keep on cutting out?

Can confirm the cutting-out was caused by the blockage in the top of the cyclone. So just remove 3 hex screws and pull off the top and be amazed!!

I have got the motor out of mine and have a new one on order. When I have fitted it and it works I will put full instructions on here - here's hoping

it si the cyclones, but it is a design fault, ring dyson they'll supply a new cyclone unit f.o.c

If Cleaning the filter and cyclones out doesnt help theres something else but its a bit tricky. When take off the collecting drum, underneath (where it sits) is a purple platform with instructions on how to empty the drum on. You can remove this platform by lifting it up but there is a slot at the front holding it in place so you need to tackle that first. Then can lift up what looks like another filter and tap it outside to get rid of the excess dust. This lets the air circulate more and so shouldnt keep overheating and cutting out.

Unplug dyson, undo 3 hex screws on top of cyclone unit pull top off (quite hard) probably blocked solid with dust......

Check the top of your dyson the cyclone chamber is probably blocked. Undo the three hex screws on the top (preferbly do this outside) and pull the cyclone chambers should be clear. Mine was blocked solid with dust, try it.
