when we switch the shower on after 5-10 minits it trips the breaker switch.
then we switch on and it will run for 5 more minits before it does it again.
do you know of a fix for this problem ?
Is it a 9.5kw shower running on a 40amp mcb. If so maths are that its using 240v @ 9.5kw = 39.583 amps. Thats so very close the the 40 limit that your be on the breakers curve, and its quite likly that after some time it will trip.
a 9.5kw shower should really be on a 45amp , with 10mm cable.

Yes. Get a qualified sparks to check the shower circuit. This is not something you can do without the correct testgear. If no fault is found with the circuit, shower could be faulty ( unlikely). any further queries: kmelectrics@yahoo.co.uk. hope this helps.
