Fault on treadmill?

Energizer Pro Electric Treadmill shows a E1 fault
I am in need of a circuit diagram - which the company refuses to provide - though they will provide one to someone who has a reciept for one.

It is either the circuit board or the sensor - so the comapny says - I believe it is the sensor - all I need is some pointers on how to detrmine what it is and a sensor (part number) from an alternative source

Personally I believe a dealer who is apparently the only one in the country SHOULD deal with the general public
THIS dealer wanted us to box up the treadmill and sent is and nearly £200 back to them to be 'fixed'

What normal person would do that? When the handbook itself says it is either this fault or that one and a new sensor would fix it?????

Only a fool would pay more than an item is worth to fix it. Obviously Peter you are a fool.

If you bought an item - say a car - 2nd hand - And it then went wrong and there was only ONE person you could buy the part from would you blindly send your car to them and pay an exhorbitant amount to have it fixed (especially as in this case a wire had come loose so the handbook lied with its supposed E1 fault - So I would have spent £200 for them to solder one wire on - Yeah right)

He did not steal the treadmill - I have never seen anyone running off with a cheap treadmill that you cannot even lift.

So methinks the sadlittle troublemaker is YOU 'Peter'

I am happy to say I beought in a computer engineer - cost = ONE CUP OF TEA. Who found the fault in a matter of minutes - plonked wire back into place and now it works fine.

You may think it is the way of the world to pay hundreds of pounds PLUS however much it would have cost to post a treadmill to the other end of the country - Personally I would rather not.

Hope it made you feel happy and tough insulting people who are trying to help other people by finding the fault - After all this site is HOW TO MEND IT.com Now howtomakearipoffcompanyevenricher.com

CUSTOMER SERVICE is what brings people back to your company - THIS company will now not get any new customers if I have anything to say about it and if anybody ever asked me how the customer service at Justsports or Cixi Shangguan Industry Co I would tell them IT SUCKS. They are rude, unhelpful and don't deserve a penny of anyones money.

Selling a 20p sensor for £20 is pathetic especially when the fault was not even in the flippin sensor - So then they sell you a £100 computer - so you can then collect bits that the fault is NOT in!

They are only after your money - avoid them!

Peter, I don't know what sad planet you are from but the device had been purchased legitimately from an ebay seller - and the fault was known about at purchase time not that it concerns you and it was not stolen. I dont know where you got your information from but I take affrontage at your remarks - I believe an apology is in order

why dont you go back to the seller you bought the treadmill from. Naturally the main dealer will not deal with you if you can not provide evidence that you purchased from them. I had the same issue with Horizon and understood as it turned out my treadmill was stolen by the person I bought it from. Maybe you stole your treadmill? I have seen your other forum points and it seems you are one sad troublemaker, lol /// get a llife and stop winging at companies which have nothing to do with you.

The fault was diagnosed as a separated pin in one of the leads

We got round a friend who does computers lol
He looked through everything and we fund out the fault was not on the sensor - It was a broken pin in the bitthat connects the top to the bottom lolllllllll

In case anyone comes back here - we bought a sensor from Maplins and it didn't work :-( Maybe the wrong sensor? The booklet says that an E! error is senor or computer thingy - We have changed the computer thingy and it's still there - The company are USELESS Uk part wants to charge the earth - China part will give us a free sensor if we employ a Courier to go to CHINA and pick it up - They refuse to post it even though we have offered money etc for that

Useless! Nobody wants to help - Treadmill is a huge paperweight and user who is disabled is very depressed

The sensor will be either an optical one near the motor flywheel or actually built into the end of the motor. If it's an optical one they can be replaced with one from an electrnics company like RS or Maplin. The sensor usually only has two wires.

Check that it isn't just clogged with dust first though.
