HERE,S THE TWO COMMON ONES- CAMSHAFT SENSOR AND CRANK POSITION SENSOR WITH THE 4500RPM LIMIT ITS MOST LIKELY THE CAM SENSOR!!! THIS IS LOCATED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TWO CAM PULLEYS YOU,LL NEED TO REMOVE THE ALTERNATOR BELT AND CAM BELT COVER (THIS IS EASIER WITH THE AIRBOX REMOVED)THE SENSOR IS CLEARLY VISIBLE HELD IN PLACE WITH A SINGLE TORX BOLT REMOVE THE BOLT THIS MAKES IT EASIER TO REMOVE THE MULTI-PLUG GET YOURSELF ONE (OR TWO OR THREE!!) FROM A BREAKERS REFIT AS REMOVED CHECK THE WIRING TO THE SENSOR FOR HEAT DAMAGE REPAIR IF AFFECTED.THE CAR SHOULD START AND THE MANAGEMENT LIGHT SHOULD BE GONE IF ITS THE CRANK SENSOR YOU,LL FIND IT HIDING BEHIND THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE ENGINE MOUNT! IT CAN BE REMOVED WITHOUT REMOVING THE MOUNT THE WIRE JOINS THE LOOM NEAR THE STRUT TURRET ON THE SAME SIDE DISCONNECT THIS PLUG THE SENSOR IS THE SAME AS ALL THE 8V VAUXHALL(CAV SRI,ASTRA GTE ETC) ITS EASIER TO REMOVE THESE AT THE BREAKERS! REFIT AND TEST. THESE TWO SENSORS SHOULD TAKE LESS THAN AN HOUR EACH NOT INCLUDING THE TIME AT THE BREAKERS WELL WORTH THE TIME AS THESE SENSORS ARE EXPENSIVE TO BUY NEW HOPE THIS HELPS YOU GOOD LUCK!
