Mend Tap Noise Pressure

How can I fix noisy knocking noise in kitchen tap?

When cold tap switched on noisy knocking siren loud sound. When tap is used in the bathroom simaultaneously it doesn't happen. When garden hose is left on but hose is switched off it gets worse. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all for days and it only happens when the tap is turned down low - if it is opened fully the noise stops.

sounds like you have high water pressure at the mains.
you may want to fit a pressure reducing valve on your mains cold water feed.
