Mend Anyone Had Same Problem

Has anyone had the same problem with a Malber WD800?

I own a Malber WD800, which I love. As you may know, it is an under-the-counter front-loading cloths washer and dryer in a single unit designed for apartments.

However, water is running out from under to the front of the washer when the machine is in the fill cycles.

Pulling the washer out from under the counter, I discovered none of the hoses to be leaking.

I removing a large metal cover from the back, revealing a vertical 2” black hose connected to a white plastic tray, at the top of the unit, that is being feed by the incoming (H&C) external water hoses at the top-back right rear of the washer.

As mentioned, the water is being feed from the incoming H&C hoses at the very top and back of the unit.

The water is then feed into this 2” black hose through a white plastic horizontal tray down into the 2” black vertical hose and then down into the tub with a very unusual permanent connection to the side of the tub.

The water, when first filling the washer, leaks up and runs over the black hose down its side and on to the floor near the motor.

There is, I believe, a broken bead of dried-out silicon rubbery stuff, between the white round plastic fitting and 2’ hose, held tight with a plastic strap around the hose.

Water leaks up at one or two points, in addition, the back of the hose is not in clear eyesight and because of a odd connection at the bottom (of the hose), which is permanently connected to the body of the tub itself, which leaves little room to move the hose around or off since it is, again, permanently connected to the tub.

Has anyone had this problem or tried to repair their own Malber WD800 washer/dryer?

Gratefully yours,

NYC-WASHER

Did anything ever work? I have the same problem and the same unit and I have just been ignoring the unit although it would be nice to fix it. Also, I have tried to find a repair person but they don't seem to answer the phone.

user your fingers to search the gray rubber ring while you open the front door. You may find a broken spot. The Water leak from that spot. Use water proof tape to tape the hole. I bought black tape from HomeDepot.

can you post a picture of this hose setup? Would be easier to formulate a solution if I could see it.
I had a Malber WD1000.
