Singer futrua c100 bobbin case?

I have a Singer Futura c100, the bobbins case keeps knotting thread when yous are embroidering, THe machine then says safety device activated?

Hello Cynthia,
If you are embroidering free hand on your machine it is important that the tension is set properly and you keep the fabric moving, make sure you have the cover plate on the bobbin case when you embroider.
