How can I fix fast tick over on 1996 fiesta si?( 1400cc)?
When fully warmed up my car idles at up to 2000 rpm. I think it could be the temperature sensor on the feul injection system at fault. Could you send info on the location of the sensor and resistance values expected on the sensor ( hot and cold).
have you tried the petentiometor (throttle position sensor) located on the left of the inlet opp the acc. cable mount? Otherwise pop to Halfords and get a "fault finder" £14. It plugs into the engine management computer and will tell you exactly which part is playing up.
