how can i fix my RCA stereo? about a month ago i was listening to my stereo and all of a sudden no sound would come out of the speakers i didnt have it turned up loud . the stereo was still on but no sound would come out of the speakers . i took it apart to see if i could notice anything that might be wrong with it but everything looked fine. so i turned it off for a while and turned it on and tried playing a cd and the stereo itself was reading and when i turned it off sound came out of the speakers but it is only when i go to turn it off and it aint like songs or anything. help or any ideas on what might be wrong with it get back to me at lilbadass765@aol.com thanks for any help

my radio works. Looks like everything is working; except the cd tray is not responding to open. Also I don't have a microphone. I can get one.

Does the stereo have any other functions (like radio)? Do they work? Does it have an auxillary or microphone input that you can test it with? This will narrow it down to either the CD player portion or the amp. Chances are you won't be able to do it yourself.
