I need a code for my 1997 ford mondeo cass/radio?

Have you asked your local Ford dealer? I think they can get them, provided it's the original one that was factory fitted.

Don't think it does anything without the code.

if you can get the serial number of the radio cassette by either getting it from your Radio/manuals docs or by pulling it out of the dash to get the serial number on it the with this info I can try getting u the code.

For releasing the unit

to do this u need to release the unit from the dashboard and pull it out using a ford radio removal pins shaped like a u bar and they fit into the 4 small holes 2 on each side of the radio
You can buy these at any good auto shop relatively cheaply
pull it out but do not disconnect any connections at all
Try to find a serial number marked on it usually at the rear

it may start with M1023 e.g
failing that if you have the radio details in your manual books it will be in there as well

email back with the serial / number
