Mend Whirlpool 387298 Timer Cycle

Whirp387298 goes for most of the cycle but stops before expelling water?

My Whirpool 387298 washer goes for the most of the cycle fine, but stops before expelling water. The timer motor stops at that time and doesn't spin any more. The full/empty switch seems to be working, so is the 'extra rinse cycle' switch.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
