carpet cleaner making burnt popcorn poo smell - kenmore progressive?

the carpet cleaner attachment (the part with the motor) of the kenmore progressive canister vac (model no. 116. 20712008) is making a smell of burnt popcorn poo. yeah. weird. anyway. i'm trying to take it apart and i can't figure it out and i don't have the manual. help please? it stinks :(

oooh. heh. ok, so you just unscrew the bottom of it. i was doing it without unscrewing it. that won't do any good. but yeah. unscrew it, pop off the white thing, get to the rolling thing, and clean out all the nasty hair and take off the spinners at the end and pry out more nasty hair. inside it was all burnt crispy and there was a nice collection of burnt hair and plastic. *shudder* pretty gross. i think i'll go shave my head now...
