I found that there was a diaphram valve under the door that operated a safety cut out switch. This was activated I presume when we had some form of blockage in the drains and back pressure inflates the diagpram to stop you from refilling the machine. After clearing the blockage from the drains the diagpram stayed inflated, I simply pushed it down and the switch could be heard to click and the machine worked after that!
