how do i get the imobliser of my mk4 astra only changed battery in key?

changed the battery on my 03 astra diesel key remote now imobliser is on and whon't start

you need to reprogram the key. 1. switch ignition on. 2. program mode is activated for 30 seconds. 3. depress lock or unlock button. 4. central locking system should operate to indicate correct synchronization. if this does not work then it will have to be done with a diagnostic computer.
