Cash register locked up Sharp XE-A102?

Rang up a sale of 75 cents, register locked up and will not do anything else. Tried turning it off, unplugged it, etc. Still nothing. Can anyone help?

got to the change display...locked up...tried everything suggested online...nothing!

Same register did the same thing to me. The only key that worked, I thought was the paper feed. I don't use the Tax 1 shift key in my business. However I hit that key, and the sale I entered that was froze, has my register up and running again. Good Luck
