My agw032 would stop during the wash. It needed new brushes in the motor. A way to prove this is to start the wash and wait for it to stop. Leave the controls as they are but turn off the power at the mains to avoid a possible fatal shock. Remove the side panel. Tap the metal body of the motor a few times with a light hammer or metal spanner. This will shake the brushes in and they will then reconnect with the commutator in the motor. Now refit the panel and turn on the power at the mains. The machine drum should start turning and if you are lucky it might even finish the wash. I had to go through this sequence about 3 times to get it through a full wash. Brushes I found were cheapest from: whirlpoolparts.co.uk. This is only one possible cause of a machine stopping but it's easy to do and worth a try.
