Mend Indesit CA 133 Fridge Work Cooling

indesit fridge freezer. lights work so power ok but does not cool or freeze?

No cooling at all anywhere. The motor can be heard to run, and you can hear gurgling from the pipes at the back so I assume something is being compressed and forced around the pipes, it sounds like liquid though not gas.... is this normal? especially when you turn power off, you can hear liquid gurging around the pipes
Fridge freezer is Indesit CA 133
Any ideas where I start looking?

Don't worry about noises, mine sound like a steam train at times but it works ok.
Had same prob 2yrs ago and it turned out to be the temprature unit had packed up, the service engineer changed it and it has been fine ever since except for the 'Train' noise of the gas circulating that seems to get louder every week.
