Fellowes Powershred PS 30?

yes i need a power supply for the PS-55 15V 1.5 amp i see that some here have a spare but no contact information. i lost my power supply during a move from my old apartment. Fellows does not sell these any more.

I am using a universal power supply that has a power setting from 2 to 12 volts, and a switch to reverse the polarity (which in this case just reverses the forward and reverse on the shredder). The power supply claims to produce a max of 800 ma at 12 volts. it works fine with one sheet of thick copy paper at a time, two or more tend to jam.(because of the low voltage) Since this is well below the stated need for 15 volts dc and 1400 ma that ffelllowes says is necessary, I suspect any generic universal PS with at least 12 VDC and 1 amp output would be sufficient. Of course, one with 15 VDC and 1.4 amps would be perfect... Hope this helps! Ansd yes, I just used the shredder on my taxes. BEFORE i sent them! :)

The specs on the power supply are Fellowes Class 2 model (A57-013-15Z01)120 vac 60hz 39w 15vdc- 1.4 amp Part #36083 made exclusively for Fellowes manufacturing co.

So you need a 15 Volt DC w/ 1.4 amps

DUH Take your happy ass to fellowes.com and this is all you'll find regarding power requirements for their shredders:
"Often, our customers ask us about the power specifications on their older units so that they may attempt to replace with a universal power supply. Because universal power supplies do not come equipped with thermal over load protection and increase the risk of over heat, possible product damage and poses a fire hazard.

Putting it simply, it is dangerous to use universal power supplies and Fellowes cannot in good service provide power specifications for this reason. We apologize for this inconvenience"

If any of you know what the power supply specifications are please post them. This is driving me crazy, I can;t find the specs anywhere. Thank you.

I also am looking for a PS 30 power cord. I got this shredder from my sister who since passed and I really wanted to keep it....I would cry if I had to replace it. I
accidentally ran the cord in the shredder and its stuck now. I just had a birthday and two friends bought me a shedder but I really wanted to keep this old thing because its from my sis.
Can anyone help me?

I don't know if you can buy one new or not from fellowes, but if I am not able to fix my PS30 that I just jammed and I think may have stripped the gears {It's been making a knocking noise for awhile} I will have a power supply that will be no use to me!
