Mend Nissan Micra Clutch Gear

nisan micra r reg passion?

the clutch feels like it slips when driving 1st gear is fine put into 2nd or 3rd it will go but very slow then it seems to catch and drives well tried slackening and tightening clutch cable but still the same any ideas

you should have 2mm freeplay from the cable to the clutch arm if you have this then it would suggest your clutch is worn, when first showing signs of wear lower gears are less affected as the force needed to tuen the wheels is less due to gear ratios so the higher the gear the more you will notice it.
