Kirby G4 shampoo?

YES...I can help!! The shampooer has a little round suds screen that fits onto the tank where the small hose plugs onto it. Sometimes this screen gets lodged sideways in the end of the hose (or lost altogether) and this will make the shampooer behave the way you described. Find and replace the little screen and you'll be set!

The little screen that plugs into the bottom of the tank has slipped out and is in the hose. It needs to stay in the hard plastic tube that the hose connects to.
