Mend Renault Laguna 1996 Immobiliser Key Fob

How can I enter the code to override my immobiliser?

My renault laguna 1996 just decided to stop working. My key fob will not activate the central locking and therefore the immobiliser will not unlock. I have the code from renault to override the immobiliser but I am supposed to see either a flashing red led or an orange heart shape with a squiggle through it in order to enter my code. Unfortunately, my car does not appear to be equiped with either - there is no heart shape or led. Does anybody know how else I could enter the code as I have tried doing it without seeing either but obviously it is not working.

after getting in2 the car close the door fully, this will allow interlocking to close sending a signal to the immobiliser system, point the key towards the little black thingy above your head in front of the rear view mirror and press the key twice, the doors will now click resetting the immobiliser, then put key in ignition and try to start, if this fails crack open the housing around that little black thingy, take out circuit board and unplug it carefully for about 1 minute then replace, reassemble the housing and repeat the above procedure, hope this helps.
