You don't say what type of door it is, internal or external?.
If it's a Upvc one No their made handed. ie open in or out. If you turn one around then the glazing clips and handle screws would be on the outside making burglary easier just by cliping the plastic galzing strips out.
Timber door
An external door frame is rebated to take the door rather than a flat faced frame which you add a stop strip to [look at your internal doorstops they are separate from the frame]. It can be done but you will have to cut the stop rebate off the outside which is not easy to cut neatly. Alterantive, and it's not that hard, rip the frame out and buy ready cut one from a DIY store to fit your door. All you have to do is assemble it and screw it to the brickwork with the door stop on rebate on the inside. At the bottom in the cill/step fits a plastic rain bar you will have to rebate the inside bottom face of the door to take this bar. Then cut 3 hinge hole for 3" long hinges. Usual fitted 3" from the top and 6" from the bottom with the third one in the middle [this one helps to stop the door warping on the hinge side.
Internal timber door.
Cut the door stops off the styles [sides of the frame] remove the door and cut the hing slots right across and fix the hinges to the opposite edge to where they are now. it then opens outwards. don't forget you will have to change the latch in all cases unless they are standard ball or roller closers.
P.s I've changed 7 doorways internal and external and added one to close off the bathroom of an on-suite, and change one in the kitchen into a sliding door in my bungalow. One I've done new with a non standard home made frame.
