get solid dry wall tape and get it wet. put it on the outside of the sub over the tear. then take silicone and rub it over the dry wall tape. let it dry for a whole day. you also have to put silicone on the backside of the sub but not tape. you have to let it dry the whole way or it wont work.

actually the best way is to buy some epoxy. i use JB weld. just mix it together...apply evenly and it holds great. i used it on a memphis 15 wit 2000 watts and it still holds to this day

I also have a kicker with a rip in the outer edge! I've found that bicycle tube repair kits work but not for too long :(

You could use clear or black silicone.It's flexible enough.I used it once on a home sub that got a vacuum cleaner nozzle through it,and it lasted till the amp blew.

First question is- How did it get there? Abuse? Accident?
Couple of things you can try, depending upon the severity. Regular fingernail polish painte over the crack might be enough, but put on a couple of coats. With a sub, It may be a little trickier because of the movement of the cone. Also, you can try strips of regular electrical tape. maybe one piece on each side (front & back of the cone) run it well past the end of the tear on both ends. If that doesn't work, then try to find a reconing place around & do it right.
