Last night while watching a program, the sound got quieter and quieter until there was no sound.
Video is fine, but no sound.
Have turned it off/on, but it's stil the same.
Any idea why? Can this be fixed inexpensively? Do I need a new tv?
Theres a speaker on/off button in the back of the television, try that. I have the same tv and had the same problem.

Maybe lost a low voltage supply, maybe an amplifier IC. In any case, sound faults are generally very straightforward and inexpensive for an engineer to repair. Ask for an estimate.
