Is there a "free" way to password protect a USB Pen Drive?
Looking for password protect software on the internet finds lots of so called free options to protect the information on my USB Pen Drive, but they all seem to be on a time limited trial period only.
Surely there must be some way to protect this information without having to fork out sums of money?
It's just a modern varaition of the old "Bait and Switch!" Basically, there are a ton of companies that offer "free" encryption software for computers, laptops, USB drives, etc. When you waste your time downloading them, you simply find it is indeed free, but a demo or "time trial" of the REAL software.
We need to complain to these companies, and tell them we are sick of being "takin' in" by these border-line scams!
As for the answer. You can get FREE encryption software with secure USB drives (It's built into the drive it's self). That's what I use.
