how do i open my bonnet?

i have a fford mondeo 2.0 tdci and cant open the bonnet tried to push down on it . cut out a piece of the grill but cant get at the lock mechanism . can anyone help me get it open.

my bonnet has a problem opening what i do is turn right so it pops up a little then push key in hard and turn the other way while pushing still it will open
the rod slips between the lock and opener very crap design could be fixed with some glue

Looks like your answers are how to open with a key. I have the same problem but the key is not working in the bonnet (Still works on the doors and boot). Did you ever find a solution to this?

place key in behind ford badge, turn anti clockwise then clockwise.

swing up the ford badge on the bonnet and use your normal key
