I have a 2002 Astra Sri 2.2. Over the past few months my alarm decides to go off everyday after I have returned from lunch. I notice it usually goes off after around 15 minutes of the car being locked. It also only happens on moderate/warm days. If it is raining or cold no problem at all. Whats going on!? Any help would be great
Ive just bought a 2003 astra convertible and in the history I got with it theres a receipt for a new alarm horn as the previous owner had the same problem.. I haven't had any problems with it so it seems to have fixed it :) so that might be the solution

2005 astra alarm kept going off night and day
pulled back inner plastic wheel guard under passenger wing and cut a cable to the sounder taped it up pushed it back took 5 mins no alarm who cares whos gonna nick the bus no issues since this was done over a year back

my battery went flat on my astra 03 plate and now iv jump started it my alarm wont go off even when the car is running. help please

I have just reset the central locking symstem by sitting in the car, key in the ignition turn it on without starting up the engine,then push the drivers side button down manually, turn car key off then open it with the fob, then lock it with the fob. YAY peace at last. Hope this works for you.

a quick fix to lock the car without the alarm on is to open the rear driver door and put the lock down on the driver door, this will central lock the doors but the alarm will be off. keeps the neighbours happy tho.

I have a similar problem, wondered if anyone could help me out. I have a 2003 astra convertible, the alarm goes off whenever a car goes past our house (we live on a main road) I have had many sleepless nights waiting for it to go off!! I have taken it to a main dealer and they charged me £200 to put it on the diagnosics machine and fix it. it is still going off al the time, i have now taken it back 3 times and they now say they can do no more!! Any advice or help on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated.

to get rid of the inspection symbol u need 2 press press and hold ur reset milage switch as u turn on the car and it should go

power sounder batteries tend to fail after about 5 years causing false alarms.sounder under front near side wheel arch liner.have a look at other vauxhall forums as there is loads of advice as to how to rectify this type of problem
