Triton shower not working - power on, no water?

Hi my shower stopped working so I went out and replaced it with an up to date model and fitted it turned the power back on and nothing . checked the water flow everything was ok power light came on showing power was coming through. It had me puzzled until the wife mentioned it to someone at work who said they had the same problem and simply changed the power isolator the pull cord you pull on to switch the power on. I went out and bought a new switch and replaced it and Bingo shower works . sometimes something so simple may be the answer hope this helps anyone who encounters the same problem

I replaced the solenoid on my shower and got water for a minute then nothing. checked filter and shower head. could it be a faulty solenoid?

Hi ive just fitted new prd to my triton t80si and went to commissin but now have no power to shower have rechecked everything but still no power ...can anyone help please

Ive got a Triton Opal which is doing the same - Ive been told it could be the solenoid - if your handy at DIY you can replace it yourself.

If you leave it on may start working again.. sounds like a build up in one of the pipes causing it not to work
The light should be dim..
be careful it may start to smoke if the water is not flowing through and could catch alight.. call a plumber

yea they have a seperate water supply just for your shower. and then when you dont pay your bills they cut off just your shower so you start to smell

Probably the solenoid valve - its like an electronic tap within the shower unit

I don't know how to fix it, but be careful as mine did the same thing, then suddenly started to smoke and overheat melting the wires inside. it could have caused a nasty fire. consider turning off the power and contact Triton, as I will be complaining; as you think there would be a safety cut out

sounds like your solenoid valve is not opening in the shower
