Changed burner in lwv 5001, which firmware do I use?

I have a Lite-on lwv 5001 and have changes the dvd burner to an msi dr4-a because lwv stopped working, but now it will not recognise alot of my disks, ie. Tesco dvd+/-r, Tesco cd-r, Phillips dvd+/-r. It does play datawrite, bulkpac.

My question is do I use firmware for MSI dr4-a or firmware for Lite-on lwv 5001.
