the light on my ghds does not flash?

We have two sets of GHD Straightners, a 2005 set where the light flashes & a 2006 set which does not flash, interestinly enough, i have checked the operating temperature of both sets with an Oven thermometer & they both run at 155 degrees C. It looks like the set that doesnt flash isnt meant to flash.
