how can i open my boot renault espace?

had the same problem, you can just about get behind the trim panel at the bottom if you remove some screws and side panel screws, then you will need to pull the rods that go from the centre to the 2 catchs at the bottom this should then open the boot, you then need to lube the central locking unit this is what causes the problem.

I recently had same problem on my 1998 espace.
When I eventually got it open I squirted lots of WD40 in the handle and left it open a while to let it get right in the works. Been OK since
