Mend Vauxhall Omega Turn Engine Fault

what is up with my 2.2 2001 vauxhall omega?

every now and then when i turn over my engine it seems to misfire. i restart the car and this fault goes away however recently a warning light has been coming on and reducing the power of the car. the warning light is the one of the car with the spanner on it. the booklet says there is a problem with the electrics. can anyone inform me further on this and give me a possible solution???? thanx for your time.
