Mend Gainsborough 9.5 SDL Shower Fine Hot Cold

Electric Shower runs fine then cycles hot and cold?

I have a Gainsborough 9.5 SDL, it has been installed for just over a year.

Initially the shower works fine then after a random period of time (usually between 2 and 4 minutes) the unit makes an audiable 'tock' and the water runs cold. After this the water cycles hot and cold every 10 or 15 seconds.

It sounds like a faulty thermostat, can this be fixed?
