Mend Renault Laguna Automatic

How can I fix my Renault Laguna?

What can I do the Serv Light comes on every now and then and the automatic gear box stays in 3rd ghear only and it will not change up or down. What could the matter be.

Can anyone help?

I had a similar problem on my N reg - I think the only way is to take it to a specialist

It might be one of your ecu`s or sensors on the engine/gearbox. If the light comes on your ecu will switch to limp mode. As its automatic this is also linked to your autobox ecu as its a closed loop system so basically it drives but will stay in 3rd gear and you may also notice a drop in power. The only thing to do is take it to Renault and have your ecu plugged in for a diagnostics check. They will tell you which ecu/sensor is at fault. When its replaced they will reset your ecu/lights ect and everything should be fine.
