HOW DO I MAKE MY TARGA DR - 5400 X DVD RECORDER REGION FREE???

HI FOLKS, I RECENTLY PURCHASED A TARGA DR - 5400 X DVD RECORDER AND MY EXPERIENCE TO DATE HAS BEEN ALL FAVOURABLE. HOWEVER, THIS EVENING I TRIED TO PLAY REGION 1 DVDS FOR MY KIDS & IT REFUSED TO PLAY THEM. CAN ANYONE PLEASE ADVISE ME HOW TO CONVERT MY MACHINE TO MULTI REGION AS 70% OF MY DVD COLLECTION IS REGION 1. I THOUGHT AT THIS STAGE ALL MACHINES WOULD BE MULTI REGION. I HOPE THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE A COSTLY MISTAKE!!!! ANY ASSISTANCE WILL BE DEEPLY APPRECIATED.

On your own head be it. There is often a number for 'All Regions'

1) Power on the machine
2) Press SET UP
3) Hightlight EXIT
4) Press 2 9 6 0
5) New menu pops up, right click then chose your required region.

6) Press SET UP again to exit
