switches itself off after a few minutes?

Creda T622CW Simplicity
after the drier has been on for a few minutes it switches itself of and wont restart - however if you leave it off for approx 5 mins - then press "start" button - it restarts, again for a few minutes then off again

HI, I ;JUST NOTICED YOU HAVE EXPERIANCED THE SAME PROBLEM AS ME, CAN I PLEASE ASK DID REPLACING THE THERMO STAT DO THE TRICK. THANK YOU

mmm sounds like fault with heater or thermostat more likely to be stat cutting it out
