thank you paul combi care,its been nearly two weeks now with the boiler running for eleven mins at a time it has me beat so british gas have been called !!

Hi there, If you r losing pressure it is one of three things. leak on system, faulty prv or expansion tank. If the pressure on the boiler increases to around 2 half to 3 bar when heating is hot then u have afaulty tank. if not it is one of the others.
If the boiler runs there is no prob. with fan as it would never reach this point if thee was a problem with it.
It sounds like u have a problem with either the HW or Ch thermistor as this is what tells the boiler to run and for how long.apart from that u are looking at the PCB which would be costly
