CD KEEPS STOPPING THE STARTING?

You will have to read the instruction manual,some players play the start of a track so you know if it is one you want to listen to if not then you move on to the next track,if you dont then it will eventualy play that track.There should be a function to delete this and play your disc right through,I dont think you have a fault your player is just returning to Default Mode all the time.
