Replacement of Triton T100E?

How would I replace A Triton T100E with the newer T100 range shower?
Is the connection to the water inlet pipe in the same place?
Other than the water pipe and the electrics, is there anything else I should be wary of?

I am a novice in this area, so as much details to the above questions would be greatly appreciated.
