Unidare Storage heater reset?

I have a problem with my Unidare storage heater - it has stopped working, I am hoping there is a cut out switch on the device somewhere if so...
Where is it? If there is one and how does one access it?

You might try clicking on the reset button. You'll have to undo the 2 securing Philips head screws at the base of the heater. Lift off the front cover and there should be a reset button underneath the heating knobs. Push the reset button down hard until you hear a click.

My unidare stopped working recently and it turned out to be a broken element. Although unidare/dimplex don't do spares for such an old model (WF18), there is a company in Clitheroe (www.storageheater.co.uk) that stocks or makes spares to order. With the new element it's now working fine again.

You might have difficulty finding an electrician willing to repair it (rather than sell you a new one), but it's feasible as a DIY repair if you have basic electrical knowledge and take sensible precautions. A cheap maplin multimeter and one-of-those-screwdrivers-with-the-neon-fuse-for-checking-live-voltage and would enable you to diagnose where the fault lies.

I would say it is faily old - cos I couldn't see anymore information on the heater apart from what I said up there
