hi, my brake lights come on when i turn the parking /night lights on?

or it could be that some muppets put the bulbs in the wrong way round

You have not stated what car you have, but i would change both stop/tail light bulbs first. Vauxhall Astra mk4 have suffered with this fault in the past. The elements of the side light and the stop light bend together and cause a back feed to the side lights when the foot brake is pressed and vice versa...
