Mend LG WM1024 Work Hot Fill

can my lg intellowasher wm 1024 work on coldfill only?

I would like to use my lg as coldfill only, when the hot fill is used it creates an airlock which prevents the kitchen hot tap from working. easiest fix is to shut off hot water supply to washing machine. cant find the manual which probably has the answer.

Don't just turn the hot off. Some of the hotter programmes normally 60 degree plus use the hot water fill, and so your machine will not progress though the cycle until it is full - not water no fill.

Get a 'Y' piece from wickes or somewhere and connect that to the cold water supply. Now connect both the hot and cold inlet pipes to the 'Y' piece.
