Thank you very much Stevie Tee - your instructions sounded daunting, but it worked a treat. (Might also be worth also mentioning that the belt needs to go over the tensioner as well as the drive sprocket).

Thanks again.

Its a 10 minute job that can take a couple of hours. The machine was not made to be repaired but it can be if you are brave enough. First of all, source your replacement drive belt - I used eBay and it cost me £9.50 (USD 15.00). Remove top by unscrewing the two retaining screws below the rear lip, and slide it off - moving it towards the back of the machine. Next put the machine on its side and remove the bottom panel (four screws (hex head) and four feet). The feet are tricky to remove but the adjustable ones (2) can be levered out after removing screw in parts and the other two can be got out after the centre nylon dowels are punched through.
While its on its side - you will have noted that the case is in two halves - remove the screws that you can see (one in each side) inside the casing close to the bottom. Then turn the machine over so it is on its back. Now remove the other two screws from the inner sides close to the top of the machine.

Now disconnect the various wiring connectors from the block behind the front panel and the two behind (and above) the door 'frame'. Make a note of each one as to where it goes - so you get them right when you reassemble. You may also need to remove a nylon cable strap that holds them all in place.

Now (nearly there) on the top of each side you'll see silver strip running across. In those strips are three screws/bolts (2 x M7 1 x M8). If you remove those screws from each side, the whole front half of the casing can be lifted off the back half, exposing the tumbler drum

When that's done, place your new drive belt over the drum and hook the belt over the drive sprocket on the motor (top right hand corner). When everything is lined up replace the front half of the casing, being careful to make sure the drum is lined up with the door recess and replace all the screws and cable plugs. Test the machine by applying power and switching on (door shut). If all is well, put the top back on with the two screws - put the machine back in it place and go and have a well deserved coffee and ........
