Mend Hotpoint CSX22GR Refrigerator Leak Defrost

How can I fix my hotpoint refrigerator?

Model CSX22GR side by side. Water leaks from inside the refrigerator side onto the floor. I think I read that the defrost timer is the problem. Is this possible and where is it located?
