My Sony DVD Recorder has suddenly stopped accepting discs?
My Sony DVD Recorder will not accept discs of any type - plus or minus; R or RW; prerrecorded or blank. I get a message ' can not play this disc'
Warranty 12 months, DVD 16 months, Comet not interested in finding the fault.
Any ideas?
Hi I had same problem with GX210- solved it (so far!) by using a DVD lens cleaner!

Same problem for me. Bought Jan 06 and broke by May 07. Disc will not load and ejects each time irrespective of format. Is my recorder knackered or fixable?

Just wished to add that my Sony GX210 recorder has developed an identical problem, RW+ or pre recorded gives 'cannot play this disc' .
it was bought on 23 dec 05 and just over 12 months later is faulty
